January highlights are an Ethiopian birthday/anniversary dinner, a classmate's birthday party, and most importantly, a quick trip to Virginia to see Joshua's new cousin Sophia. Please note that I was forbidden by the new Mom from taking a single photo of her. For all of those who are greatly disappointed, please blame it on women's vanity, woman's perogative, and the fact that women who have recently gone through labor are allowed to make the rules.

Not really a big month. The exciting family-related photos were shot in Jamaica. Check the Jamaica trip gallery

This is going to be a big month. Lots of pictures so far (Joshua's 2nd birthday party), and more family events to come. Joshua's party went well enough. We went for a Dr. Seuss-themed party. First kids played at this party place, and then we went back to our house.
I didn't take the best birthday party photos, as I was running around a little too much. Also, Joshua isn't grumpy -- he's just getting over a cold. Rule #1: when taking pictures of children, get closer to the ground. Rule #2: Remember to shy away from candids, and get people to pose. I always forget!

Sat down, and said "Cheese!" |
I guess he wanted me to take his picture... |
So I did. |
The biggest event would be my sister's wedding, but I didn't take many photos at all. I was in the wedding party, and didn't have any pockets in my tux to stick the camera in. I figure I'll just buy them off the wedding photographer. I must admit that my sister looked phenomenal in her wedding dress.
The next biggest event is my niece Sophia's baptism. I'm back on the photography horse.
Finally, just some miscellaneous family photos.

This month, Joshua started sleeping in his own bed |
I notice that we're taking less photos these days. Probably because we like each other less every day. Or we're just busy to photograph every burp or drop of drool. And those are just my wife's burps and drool.
That boy is just happy to run up the stairs dangerously. |

A quiet month so far. Joshua and I took a trip to see the big rigs at the annual Mercer County Touch a Truck event. Later in the month, Num's cousin Reshmi (from India) visited NJ for a few days, and we went to New York City for sightseeing on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Ah, dinner! |
Just a few pictures this month, as I was pretty busy at work. If I ever fight the inertia, I'll upload the Thanksgiving video. I say that all the time, but I'm truly busy at work this month.
